M’sila/ As part of ongoing efforts to monitor the implementation of various development and strategic infrastructure projects across the municipalities within the wilaya’s daïras, with a view to bringing them into service and ensuring that the needs expressed by citizens are addressed, Mr. Nadjm Eddine Tayyar, Wali of the Wilaya of M’Sila, conducted a working visit and inspection of development projects and public facilities in the municipalities of M’Sila and Souamaa on Sunday evening, 11 October 2026.
The visit was attended by the Director of Local Administration; the Head of the Daïra of M’Sila; the Head of the Daïra of Ouled Derradj; the Director of Hydraulics; the Director of Public Works; the Director of Urban Planning, Architecture and Construction; the Director of Public Facilities; the President of the People’s Communal Assembly of Souamaa; subdivision heads; design offices; and project contractors.
During the visit, the Wali inspected the following projects:
Municipality of M’Sila
- Inspection of the development works at the roundabout in front of the Wilaya Security Directorate headquarters.
- Inspection of the construction works for the wastewater network, starting from the Hodna Mills area, passing by the wholesale shops in Djennane Boudiaa, and proceeding towards the intersection near the Imam Malik Mosque, with a connection to the main sewer along the street leading to the former El Hodna Cinema. The project also includes the construction of a section of the drinking water supply network, starting from the intersection leading to the Algerian Water Company, passing by the medical imaging centre, and extending to AGRO-DIV, at the intersection near the tyre repair workshop in the municipality of M’Sila.
Municipality of Souamaa
- Inspection of the development works at the entrance to the municipality of Souamaa.
- Inspection of the rehabilitation works on Wilaya Road No. 01 over a distance of one (1) kilometre, including the renewal of the wastewater network.
- Inspection of the construction works for a Type 5 middle school, with a school canteen serving 200 meals, in Bouhamadou, municipality of Souamaa.
On this occasion, the Wali stressed the need to:
- Accelerate the pace of work by strengthening construction sites with additional human and material resources, while ensuring compliance with construction standards and contractual deadlines.
- Ensure daily and periodic monitoring of all projects and strengthen coordination among the various departments to guarantee their completion and handover within the specified deadlines.
