He also commended the spirit of cooperation and coordination between the administration and the people’s representatives in serving citizens and promoting local development.

The Wali then expressed his sincere thanks and profound appreciation to Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic, for the promotion of Bou Saâda to a fully empowered wilaya, alongside the newly established wilayas. This decision reflects the commitment to decentralising administration, bringing public services closer to citizens, and highlighting the State’s development efforts.

The Wali subsequently presented an overview of the wilaya’s main development concerns, covering the following areas:

  • Identification of development needs expressed by citizens during field visits.
  • Review of key development priorities, including the provision of drinking water to residents; the construction of new boreholes and water reservoirs in areas experiencing supply disruptions; connecting agricultural holdings to the agricultural electricity network; and strengthening hospitals and healthcare facilities, particularly in terms of medical staff. The discussion also covered equipping the new hospitals in M’Sila, Bou Saâda, Sidi Aïssa and Hammam Dhalâa so that they can be brought into service as soon as possible.
  • Allocation of completed housing units, provision of rural housing grants, and allocation of social housing plots.
  • Construction and equipping of new educational facilities to improve schooling conditions.
  • Registration of urban development and improvement programmes in cities and population centres across the wilaya.

The members of Parliament expressed their thanks and appreciation to the Wali for the efforts made and initiatives undertaken to serve the residents of the wilaya and promote local development across all sectors.

The parliamentarians then raised development-related concerns, particularly those relating to housing, education, healthcare, water resources, electricity and gas, urban development, public works and agriculture.
