M’sila/ A fatal road accident occurred on 17 October 2026 at 7:16 a.m. The accident involved a J9 minibus operating on the M’Sila–Souamaa passenger transport route and a utility vehicle on Wilaya Road No. 01, at the entrance to the Khebab area within the municipality of Souamaa. The accident resulted in one fatality, a 26-year-old person, may they rest in peace, and 21 injured people of both sexes, whose injuries varied in severity. The injured were taken to Zahraoui Hospital in M’Sila.
On Saturday, 17 October 2026, Mr Nadjm Eddine Tayar, Wali of the Wilaya of M’Sila, visited Zahraoui Hospital in M’Sila. He was accompanied by the President of the Wilaya People’s Assembly, members of the Wilaya Security Commission, members of both chambers of Parliament, the Director of Civil Protection, the Head of the Daïra of M’Sila, directors of the executive departments, the President of the People’s Communal Assembly of M’Sila, and the Director of Zahraoui Hospital. The visit aimed to check on the injured, assess the medical care being provided to them, and offer condolences to the family of the deceased.
During the visit, the Wali reviewed the medical care being provided to those injured in this tragic accident. He wished them a speedy recovery and issued instructions to the medical team to ensure that they receive comprehensive care until they recover.
The Wali also conveyed his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased, on his own behalf and on behalf of the residents of the Wilaya of M’Sila, following this fatal road accident.
