M’sila/ Mr Nadjm Eddine Tayar, Wali of the Wilaya of M’Sila, presided over the ceremonies marking the 65th anniversary of National Emigration Day on the morning of Saturday, 17 October 2026. The commemorations took place in the Municipality of M’Sila in the presence of the President of the Wilaya People’s Assembly, members of the Wilaya Security Commission, members of both chambers of Parliament, the Wilaya Secretary of the National Organisation of Mujahideen, representatives of the revolutionary family, the local delegate of the Mediator of the Republic, the Chief of Staff, the Wilaya Inspector-General, the Security Delegate, the Director of Mujahideen Affairs, the Head of the Daïra of M’Sila, the President of the People’s Communal Assembly of M’Sila, directors of the executive departments, members of the Wilaya People’s Assembly, the Algerian Muslim Scouts, representatives of civil society, citizens and members of the media.The ceremonies began with a visit to 1 November Square in the Municipality of M’Sila, where the national flag was raised and the national anthem was played.A wreath of flowers was then laid, followed by a moment of remembrance in honour of the martyrs.On this occasion, an imam delivered an address recalling this historic event, during which the Algerian community living in France demonstrated its deep attachment to the homeland and its loyalty to the National Liberation Army and the National Liberation Front. Through peaceful demonstrations in the streets of Paris, the demonstrators expressed their national commitment. The demonstrations were met with violent repression, gunfire and the drowning of demonstrators in the River Seine, resulting in many deaths as people sacrificed their lives for the homeland.The imam also reminded those present of their duty to safeguard the legacy of the martyrs and to draw inspiration from their noble message, heroism and immense sacrifices for the independence of the homeland.
VISITS AND TRIBUTES TO MUJAHIDEEN AND MEMBERS OF THE REVOLUTIONARY FAMILYThe Wali, accompanied by his delegation, carried out the following visits:- A visit to the Mujahid Karmiche Abdelhamid, known as Saïd, at his residence in the city of M’Sila, to enquire about his health and pay tribute to him on this occasion.- A visit to the Mujahida Guerna Zoubeïda, daughter of Messaoud, at her residence in the city of M’Sila, to enquire about her health and pay tribute to her on this occasion.
