Meeting with Farmers and Producers to Listen to Their Concerns

M’Sila / In implementation of the outcomes of the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb, on Thursday, 01 October 2026, and in accordance with the directives of the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and Transport,

Mr. Nadjm Eddine Tayyar, Wali of the Wilaya of M’Sila, held a consultative meeting with farmers on Saturday, 10 October 2026, in the “Ahmed El Ghazi” Meeting Room at the Wilaya headquarters. The meeting was attended by the Director of Agricultural Services, the Director of Hydraulics, the Director of Energy, the Director of State Property, the Director of Land Surveying and Land Registry, the Director of Sonelgaz in M’Sila, the Director of the Cereals and Dry Pulses Cooperative of M’Sila (CCLS), the Director of the National Office of Agricultural Lands in M’Sila, the Director of the Regional Agricultural Mutual Fund, the President of the Chamber of Agriculture, the Wilaya Secretary of the Farmers’ Union, farmers from various municipalities across the wilaya, the Heads of Agricultural Subdivisions, and a Cabinet Attaché.

The meeting was dedicated to listening to the concerns of farmers and producers.

Following the presentation of the farmers’ concerns and the various contributions, the Wali of the Wilaya issued the following instructions and directives:

  • Provide support and guidance to farmers and producers and receive them to ensure that their concerns are properly addressed.
  • Encourage farmers to ensure the success of the 2026–2027 agricultural ploughing and sowing campaign by stepping up efforts and strengthening coordination among all partners to increase cultivated areas. He also stressed the importance of providing the necessary resources, equipment and seeds in the required quantities and quality, while ensuring that harvested crops are delivered to the services of the Cereals and Dry Pulses Cooperative (CCLS).
  • Expand cultivated areas, particularly those devoted to potatoes, onions and garlic, and call on farmers to participate in this national initiative.
  • Intensify awareness campaigns conducted by agricultural subdivisions, the Chamber of Agriculture, the Farmers’ Union and sector partners to inform farmers about the available support measures, particularly the “Rfig” agricultural loan, and encourage them to benefit from the available seeds and fertilizers.
