M’sila/ On Thursday, October 22, 2026, Mr. Nadjmeddine Tayyar, Wali (Governor) of M’Sila Province, presided over a ceremony honoring media professionals at the Nour Eddine Sahraoui Conference Hall, at the provincial headquarters.
The ceremony was attended by the President of the Provincial People’s Assembly, members of the Provincial Security Committee, the Secretary-General of the Province, the Chief of Staff, the Provincial Inspector General, the Director of Local Administration, the Director of Regulation and General Affairs, the Director of Wired and Wireless Telecommunications, the Director of Civil Protection, directors of the provincial executive departments, the President of the Municipal People’s Assembly of M’Sila, and members of the provincial media community.
The ceremony honored media professionals representing various public and private media organizations, including print media, audiovisual media, M’Sila Radio, and electronic journalism, as well as the communications units of the National Gendarmerie, National Security, and Civil Protection. The event was held to mark National Press Day, celebrated annually on October 22.
On this occasion, the Wali congratulated media professionals on their national day and praised their efforts in providing media coverage and supporting the communication activities of public authorities.
He also highlighted the important decisions made by Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of the Republic, in support of the national media sector, with the aim of enabling it to meet current challenges and ensuring that the national press achieves the position it deserves.
Furthermore, he emphasized the role of the media in showcasing the positive image of the victorious New Algeria, providing local media support for the country’s unprecedented development momentum, and contributing to the consolidation of a united and cohesive national front capable of overcoming challenges and addressing potential risks. At the conclusion of his speech, the Wali expressed his strong confidence in the media community and extended his sincere congratulations, thanks, appreciation, and recognition for their efforts.
