Preparation for the Ploughing and Sowing Campaign for the 2026-2027 Agricultural Season

M’sila / Mr. Nadjm-Eddine Tayyar, Wali of the Wilaya, chaired a coordination meeting on Saturday, 3 October 2026, held in the “Noureddine Sahraoui” meeting room at the Wilaya headquarters.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Wilaya, Heads of Daïras, the Director of Agricultural Services, the Director of Hydraulic Resources, the Director of Energy and Mines, the Director of Trade and Export Promotion, the Director of Transport, the Presidents of the Municipal People’s Assemblies, the Director of the Cereal and Dry Pulse Cooperative of M’sila (CCLS), the President of the Chamber of Agriculture, the Director of the agricultural equipment and machinery marketing company in Bou Saâda, the Wilaya Secretary of the National Union of Algerian Farmers, the Director of the Regional Agricultural Mutual Fund, the Director of the Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (BADR), the Director of the agricultural equipment and machinery marketing company in M’sila, the heads of agricultural subdivisions, heads of departments, as well as a Cabinet Attaché.

The meeting’s agenda focused on:

🔹 The measures taken in preparation for the ploughing and sowing campaign for the 2026-2027 agricultural season.

Following the presentations delivered during the meeting, Mr. the Wali issued the following instructions and directives:

  • Increase efforts and strengthen coordination among all partners in order to expand the areas cultivated during the 2026-2027 agricultural season.
  • Ensure the availability of the necessary resources, equipment and seeds, in the required quantities and quality.
  • Activate the sub-committees responsible for monitoring the campaign at the daïra level, under the supervision of the Heads of Daïras and the Directorate of Agricultural Services.
  • Ensure the availability of seeds and fertilizers at the sales outlets of the Cereal and Dry Pulse Cooperative, and establish additional outlets across the municipalities in order to bring services closer to farmers.
  • Intensify awareness campaigns conducted by agricultural subdivisions, the Chamber of Agriculture, the Farmers’ Union and sector partners to inform farmers about the facilities and support measures available to them, particularly those related to the RFIG agricultural loan, and encourage them to benefit from the available seeds and fertilizers.
