M’Sila / As part of the implementation of the programme established by the Directorate General of Civil Protection, Mr. Nadjm Eddine Tayyar, Wali of the Wilaya, presided today, Tuesday, 06 October 2026, in front of the Wilaya headquarters, over the official launch of the awareness campaign on preventing the risks of carbon monoxide poisoning, flooding and seasonal rainfall, under the slogan: “A Safe Winter… Constant Awareness”.
The launch ceremony was attended by the Director of Civil Protection, the Head of the M’Sila Daïra, the Director of Trade, the Director of Social Action and Solidarity, the Director of Youth and Sports, and the President of the M’Sila People’s Communal Assembly.
Organized by the Directorate of Civil Protection, the campaign is being conducted with the participation of various relevant sectors and organizations, including the Directorate of Youth and Sports, the Directorate of Social Action, the Directorate of Environment, Sonelgaz, the Office for the Promotion and Management of Real Estate Property (OPGI), the institution responsible for the management of technical landfill centres, M’Sila Verte, the Algerian Red Crescent, the Algerian Muslim Scouts, as well as representatives of the associative movement and civil society.
The awareness campaign aims to strengthen ongoing efforts to prevent various risks and to promote a culture of safe practices among citizens through awareness-raising activities conducted in different residential neighbourhoods. These activities focus in particular on the importance of inspecting building flues and heating appliances, using gas detectors, and taking preventive measures against risks associated with adverse weather conditions.
The awareness campaign will run from 06 October 2026 until the end of the 2027 winter season.
