M’Sila – As part of the provincial programme organised to commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious 1 November 1954 Revolution (1954–2026), under the slogan “November: The Memory of a Nation and the Future of a People,” the first day of activities, Sunday, 25 October 2026, highlighted the State’s efforts through development achievements and gains. The provincial authorities oversaw the inauguration, handover and laying of foundation stones for various development projects, comprising 85 projects with a total budget of 478.8 billion centimes, covering the sectors of health, education, water resources, public works, urban development, youth and sports, public facilities, energy and housing.
Today, Mr. Nadjmeddine Tayar, Wali of M’Sila Province, conducted a working and inspection visit to inaugurate projects, lay foundation stones and officially launch development projects across the municipalities of El Maâdid, Souamaa, Ouled Derradj, Ouled Addi Guebala, Dehahna, Berhoum and Magra.
He was accompanied by the Vice-President of the Provincial People’s Assembly, members of the Provincial Security Committee, representatives of the revolutionary family, the Local Delegate of the Mediator of the Republic, the heads of the Magra and Ouled Derradj districts, the directors of Civil Protection, Public Works, Education, Public Facilities, Water Resources and Energy, the presidents of the Municipal People’s Assemblies of Berhoum, Dehahna and Magra, the Director of the Electricity and Gas Distribution Company in M’Sila, members of the Provincial People’s Assembly, heads of sub-divisions, design offices, construction contractors and media representatives.
During the visit, the Wali inspected the following projects:
Municipality of Souamaa
- Commissioning of maintenance works on Provincial Road No. 01, from kilometre point 70+500 to kilometre point 75+000, over a distance of 4.5 km, as part of Lot No. 1.
- Commissioning of maintenance works on Provincial Road No. 01, from kilometre point 75+000 to kilometre point 80+000 and from kilometre point 92+500 to kilometre point 93+300, covering a total distance of 5.8 km.
Municipality of El Maâdid
- Commissioning of a pumping station and its connection to the water supply network in the areas of Zaouala, Kheloua and Zitoun.
- Inauguration of the replacement middle school, Tayebia El Hadj, in the village of Djaouna.
Municipality of Ouled Derradj
- Inauguration of the El Djorf roundabout at the entrance to the municipality of Ouled Derradj.
- Official launch of the natural gas connection project for 30 families in the village of Chaâbania.
Municipality of Ouled Addi Guebala
- Commissioning of electricity connections in the Lahmamla area, benefiting 200 families.
- Official launch of the natural gas connection project for the Ouled Addi Guebala Centre residential area, benefiting 150 families.
Municipality of Berhoum
- Commissioning of a water storage reservoir with a capacity of 1,000 m³ in the western sector of Berhoum Centre.
Municipality of Dehahna
- Commissioning of a water borehole in the Menaïfa area.
- Official launch of the natural gas connection project for the extension of Dehahna Centre, benefiting 180 families.
Municipality of Magra
- Commissioning of natural gas connections for 600 families in the village of Merabia.
- Commissioning of electricity connections benefiting 200 families in the villages of Merabia and Ouled Attia.
The commissioning and launch of natural gas and electricity connection projects took place amid an atmosphere of joy and satisfaction among local residents. These projects respond to the needs expressed by the population, helping families overcome the difficulties associated with purchasing butane gas cylinders, particularly during winter, and providing electricity for household appliances. These improvements are expected to contribute to better living conditions for residents.
